ACLM Classes in August: Plant-Based Diets & Mindfulness

ACLM Classes in August: Plant-Based Diets & Mindfulness

To Patients, Friends, and those who are following this journey,

In the summer of 2018, Northern Arizona Healthcare received a grant for five of its physicians to complete the American College of Lifestyle Medicine (ACLM) Core Competencies curriculum through Harvard Medical School. I was one of the fortunate ones to receive this honor and have learned a great deal about lifestyle medicine which has been incorporated into my new Functional Medicine practice.

To complete the program and fulfill the grant requirements, three of the core competencies must be taught in group class format.

My schedule for classes follows:

  • June 30, 2018 — Sleep Medicine – Why quality and quantity matter and how to get them
  • August 13, 2019 — Plant-Based Diet – It’s not necessarily vegetarian
  • August 27, 2019 — Mindfulness – How to find stillness in a crazy day

Classes will be 6:00-7:30 PM at the Flagstaff Functional Medicine and Northwoods Medical Associates lobby, located at 715 N Beaver St. Suite A, Flagstaff, AZ 86001.

Because billing is part of the ACLM class requirement, a $20 per person fee will be charged.  If you have BCBS insurance, it will be billed for a Level 3 visit and the $20 will suffice as the co-payment. Any unreimbursed charges will be forgiven.

If you would like to attend, please fill out this form so I can tally a headcount.

Thank you for your support in this part of my Functional Medicine path.
