Free Class: Top Detoxification Habits to Live By

The low last night was 20. Yesterday it hailed. Perceptibly longer, the days sparkle with potential. Then I see it – pale green pushing up from the brown mulch where not 2 weeks ago 31 inches of snow fell in 36 hours.  This is spring in Flagstaff… and probably many places. (The treasure trove of Arizona feels like a unique place to those of us who call it home.) A lot of adversity – sleet, hard freeze, piles of snow and darkness. Yet, the earth gives.

This all reminds me of the amazing potential of the body. There is a life force that can overcome adversity. Call it love, grace, spirit, abundance… whatever you like. On days like this the feeling is undeniable. And how is it that we continually abuse these bodies with poor food choices, alcohol, sugar, processed foods, pesticides, artificial everything, inadequate sleep, toxic media…and yet, cuts and scrapes heal? Even though our teenage children gorge on Doritos, soda, hamburgers, pizza and fries, late nights, Instagram and no water intake they radiate youth and beauty. Honestly, I don’t understand how they can complete a sentence, yet they make A’s.

And the thought/dream I have is what if we could flow in the direction of abundance, life and wellness? Imagine what would happen if we grew in the direction of the crocuses and daffodils and allowed life’s force to work in the direction it knows so well instead of pushing against it. It’s a thought worth pondering.
